Worship is as natural as breathing, or walking, or singing, or talking with a companion. Everyone worships something or someone, and in the Christian tradition the One we worship is God who creates, sustains, and remakes us. We worship because it seems right, and because it reminds us that there is more than our small sphere of living, and because we hope for connection with the God who is beyond our understanding. We want to know God, to be changed by God, and to follow God’s ways.
The scripture reminds us of our need for God in Psalm 42:1,
As a deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.
We long for God. It’s part of how we were made. And so we gather, sing, pray, preach, confess, encourage, and meet up with God to sustain our soul’s longing.
You can choose from three different kinds of services, depending on where you feel the most at home. See you on Sunday!
