April 3 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm MST
An event every week that begins at 2:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 29, 2019
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matt 5:4
You’ve lost someone that you care deeply about. Maybe it’s a recent loss and you’re not sure how to make your way without that person. You don’t know if what you’re feeling is normal. Or maybe it’s been a while since you lost your loved one. You feel that others think it’s time you should be getting over it. Maybe they’ve even said it to you. Worse still, you think you should get over it, but you just can’t. Your friends are tired of listening to you. You don’t dare tell them how you’re feeling any more. It makes them uncomfortable to see you cry, and you’re embarrassed when you do it in front of anyone else. Please know that you will be welcomed with loving and empathetic arms at CUMC’s GriefShare group. GriefShare is a non-denominational 13-week Christian-based program that includes video and discussion. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with the first hour being devoted to viewing the video and the second hour to discussion. Sessions will begin in the church library on February 6, 2019. If you’ve been looking for emotional support as you go through your grief journey, please call the church office at 327-4296 to register.
