What to Expect
Everyone is Welcome at Catalina. Whether you are a lifelong Methodist, or haven’t been to a church in years, we are glad you came to worship with us.
You can come as you are to any of the worship services. There is no dress code and you won’t ever be asked to stand up in front of the congregation. You may participate in service in any way that is comfortable to you.
Children are important at Catalina. We encourage children to participate in the worship services, but understand that it may be hard for little ones. We offer nursery care for children three and under during all services and Sunday School during the 9:30 and 11:00 services. Children should begin the worship services with their parents, and will be taken to their Sunday School classrooms following the children’s moment.
Holy Communion is offered at all services on the first Sunday of each month. Holy Communion in the United Methodist Church is open to all people, regardless of age, church affiliation, or lifestyle. All are invited and welcome to share in the Sacrament. (Catalina uses grape juice for Communion).
Holy Communion is offered the other Sundays of the month in the Chapel following the 9:30 and 11:00 worship services in the Chapel. You are invited to come receive communion and to pray. Stephen Ministers are available if you need to talk with someone.
